HONEYSTONE RETREATS

Exploring the Cotswolds

Our cotswold holiday properties have access to some amazing venues and experiences, typically all within a 20 minute drive. Below are some of our personal recommendations. Whilst separated relative to each property, all can be accessed from both locations. Beyond those highlighted, there are a whole host of outdoor activities and events taking place throughout the year.

Woodstock & Surrounding

Things to see and do:

Blenheim Palace - Walking distance from our Woodstock home is the birthplace of Winston Churchill with its incredible history and amazing grounds. You can walk from the house through the side gate of Blenheim to explore the lake & grounds. If you want to go to the palace and the walled gardens you will need to purchase a pass which can be done at the actual palace or online

Bicester Village Shopping Outlet - For those in a shopping mood. About 20 minutes by car to a dedicated avenue of designer shops and restaurants

Oxford City - Visit the Oxford Colleges including Christchurch which Harry Potter was filmed at. The bus stop is located a 5 minute walk from the house outside the Marlborough Arms and goes straight into Oxford town centre.
